2 pieces completed Jan 31st, 2009. These are following different lines of thought that can be connected. Mostly I was thinking about masculinity and it’s perpetuation through society. At a certain point that means that it is a system of thought and action. So, what becomes interesting is how we observe and deal with this system.
What happens when it this system collapses? (the emergency parachute deployment on the falling man) I like the parachute as a man-made thing that trust is put into. The trust is that the chute will open, it will catch you and make your decent easy.

How does masculinity assert itself ? The title of this one is ‘smoke’ alluding to the illusion and fog that prevents us from seeing clearly. (cowboy/cigarette/bombers= lonely, strong, rebel, violence, and war machines.)
